Drying your clothes is a routine action in most homes in America.

Lint and dirt that builds-up inside dryer exhaust pipes cause more than 15,000 laundry fires every year.

Dryer lint escapes through tiny gaps around the edges of the dryer drum and collects, especially when the exhaust vent or vent cap is clogged and airflow is restricted.

Dryer Vent Cleaning is an annual service that ensures the exhaust pipe stays clear of obstructions so air can flow easily.  

There are many benefits to this service such as less wear and tear on your dryer, clothes dry in less time and the possibility of a laundry fire is greatly decreased. 

The U.S. Fire Administration recommends that your dryer vent should be cleaned 1-2 times a year. 

Over time, your HVAC system accumulates dust and possibly chemical residue from cleaning products and perfumes as well as bacteria and viruses. 

 All of which can shorten the life span of your HVAC system, cause allergic reactions and in some instances, asthma attacks.

Dust comes from a variety of sources:

• Soil
• Particulate matter from smoking
• Any other out door contaminants you can think of.

Dust mites

These are tiny insects that feed on skin flakes from humans, animals and some molds.

A dust mite lives 65-100 days.  A mated female house dust mite can live up to 70 days, laying 60-100 eggs in the last five weeks of her life.

In a ten week life span, a house dust mite will produce approximately 2,000 fecal particles and an even larger number of partially digested, enzyme-covered dust particles.

In the first national survey of lead allergens in housing found household mites in at least 84% of the households surveyed.
